My Story
From Humble Beginnings to a Pottery Haven
My journey began as a small pottery corner in my house, fueled by a passion for clay and creativity. With just a bag of clay and basic tools, I dedicated myself to mastering the craft and sharing my love for ceramics with the community. Over time, my commitment to quality and artistic expression resonated with fellow pottery enthusiasts, and my little space in the house began to grow.

My reputation flourished, I expanded to a larger location, allowing us to offer a variety of pottery classes for all skill levels. My hands-on workshops quickly became a cornerstone of Fatclay Pottery, fostering a vibrant community of learners and artists eager to explore the art of pottery.

Today, I’m proud to run not only a thriving pottery studio and class/open access program but also a beautiful gallery that showcases the incredible work of local artisans. The gallery is a testament to the talent and creativity within our community, featuring a diverse collection of handmade ceramics that inspire and delight.

Location
The island city of Portsmouth is located on the south coast of England,
approximately 75 miles south west of London, 25 miles east of
Southampton and has a permanent population of over 200,000.

Southsea is a suburb of Portsmouth located to the south of the city centre
and to the east of Old Portsmouth overlooking the Solent and Isle of Wight.
​
Southsea benefits from direct motorway access via the M275, which links
to Junction 12 of the M27. In addition, the A3 connects Portsmouth with
the M25 and Central London.
​
Portsmouth and Southsea mainline railway station connects to
Southampton in approximately 45 minutes and London Waterloo in
approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
